On July 16, 2016, the first ramen restaurant 「Menroku」 opened in Omine, Hirakata City, Osaka Prefecture. With the theme of high quality duck as a main ingredient, Menroku Hirakata serves delicious duck soup soba, kamo paitan soba, and duck tsuke soba as regular menu items. The owner, Matsunaga-san, who has a slightly unusual background, trained at a ramen restaurant during his student days and later trained as a French chef, serves there ramen that is carefully selected from the finest ingredients.
This ramen has French elegance and delicacy, but with an exquisite balance that can be enjoyed as a popular dish. Due to its uniqueness, it is supported by many customers, has received high ratings on online restaurant review sites, and has received numerous interviews on TV and magazines.
In 2018, a second store was opened in Gion, Kyoto, and in 2021, an apprentice opened an independent store in front of Tenmangu Station in Osaka, and the number of affiliated Menroku stores is increasing one after another.
